Pauline Borton, 98, of Pierceton, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her residence.
Pauline was born on April 22, 1925, in Evansville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Leslie and Martine (Weaver) Alvey. She worked for G.E in Tell City for 10 years, Bremen Foundry for 5 years, Dalton Foundry, and Sun Metal Productions both of Warsaw. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 258, serving as a Chaplain, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Pierceton, she was also a part of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed fishing, gardening flowers, and animals; especially her cats.
Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her children; Leslie (Edee) Howell of Des Plaines, IL, Leo (Judy) Howell of Rockvale, TN, Chris Berger of Pierceton, and Mark (Cheryl) Berger of Plymouth. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was proceeded in passing by husbands; Curtis Howell, Sylvester Berger, and Jack Borton, a daughter Suzanne Berger-Kraus, a son James Howell, 2 brothers Fr. Leonard Alvey and Billy Joe Alvey, and a sister Irene Hildebrand.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 105 S. First St. Pierceton, Indiana 46562. Funeral services in celebration of Pauline’s life will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the funeral chapel with Father Daniel Chukwuleta officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
