Paul William Kurosky

Paul W. Kurosky, 69, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family around him on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Born in Battle Creek, Michigan on February 3, 1956, Paul was the son of William and Arloa (Smith) Kurosky. He was involved in wrestling and was a pitcher for the baseball team at Warsaw High School, graduating with the class of 1974. Paul then went on to graduate from Indiana State University in 1978, with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.

He worked for Warsaw Cut Glass as a glass cutter. He created a wheat pattern that the company still uses today. He would retire due to health reasons from the Bowen Center where he was an activities director.

At Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw, Indiana, Paul married Kathrine Wade. To this union came 8 children. Selfless, he always showed up to their sporting events, even when he had 3 kids the same day to get to. He also coached his girls in softball and his boys in baseball.

Paul was hilarious, full of quick wit, laughed hard and loved even harder. He enjoyed taking the kids to Pike Lake frequently during the summer, teaching them how to split wood and loved watching horror movies and the Simpsons with them. Paul was extremely intelligent and taught his kids how to be good listeners to their children and to respond with attention and care.

Paul was a talented artist of pen and ink and most recently of painting. He liked to paint abstract and florals mostly. He was a Chicago Bears Fan and an Indianapolis Colts fan. He followed the grandchildren on Hudl or Kathy live streamed their games when he was too sick to go in person. The couple were in a euchre club and taught their children how to play as well. He was always taking pictures to capture nature or freeze moments in time of his family. He enjoyed watching the cooking channel with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

He is dearly missed by his wife of 40 years this fall, Kathy; children: Steven Kurosky of Elkhart, Christine (Scott) Egolf of Claypool, Kimberley (Brad) Pearson of Warsaw, Ericka (Nathan) Taylor of Denver, CO, William “Alex” Kurosky of Warsaw, Dominic Kurosky of Warsaw, Andrew Kurosky of Warsaw, and Nathaniel Kurosky of Bloomington; 16 grandchildren: Austin (Ally), Annabelle, Kaitlyn, Felicity, Isais, Malachi, Kade, Ava, Ethan, Everett, Owen, Logan, Wyatt, Sloane, Madison and James; great-grandchild, Freyja; his sister, Barbara Jean (Bill) Bundy of FL and nephews, Jason and Benjamin Bundy.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Arloa.
