Paul W. Hurst

Paul W. Hurst, age 49, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born November 15, 1963 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Clarence and Mildred (Bleemel) Hurst. Paul was a Warsaw, IN resident since 1985 moving to Warsaw after graduating from VincennesUniversity in 1984 with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. He was a former accountant for Ace Hardware of Warsaw and was currently employed by Payleap of Warsaw as a New Account Specialist. Paul’s social affiliations include Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw where he served as a member of the Finance Committee, an Usher and a Collection Counter. Furthermore, he was a member of Archbishop Noll Council 4511 of the Knights of Columbus Warsaw, IN since June 1, 1989 and was a 3rd Degree Knight. He served the Knights of Columbus as the current Council Financial Secretary and was formerly awarded the Financial Secretary of the Year Award for the State of Indiana. He was an active volunteer in all aspects of his Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving family including his father Clarence O. Hurst of Huntingburg, IN; sisters Susan (spouse Richard, Jr.) Marshall of Bloomington, IN and Debra (spouse Todd) Voegerl of Jasper, IN; brother Michael (companion Susan Miller) Hurst of Muncie, IN; nieces and nephews Benjamin, Sarah, Hannah and Jacob Marshall and Autumn and Jordan Voegerl. His mother Mildred preceded him on April 9, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Warsaw, IN. Visitation is scheduled for Monday January 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, IN. Knights of Council 4511 will stand watch during the visitation. Father Phil De Volder will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN.
