Paul Kindle, age 86, of Lake City Place, Warsaw passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 12:10 PM in Parkview-Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. He was born September 17, 1931 in Warsaw, IN to John and Susie (Brandenburg) Kindle. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from February 1952 to January 1954 a Corporal (T4) in the 22nd Infantry. He was united in marriage to Helen Swoverland on December 22, 1950 in Warsaw. She preceded him September 9, 2017. He was a Warsaw resident until 1980 when he retired to Danbury, WI and then returned to Warsaw in early 2018. He was employed from January 1, 1960 to September 11, 1976 with the Warsaw Fire Department retiring as Assistant Chief. In addition, he owned and operated Kindle Water Conditioning of Warsaw from 1962 to 1980. He was a Life Member (53 years) of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge and member of the Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine both of Fort Wayne. Survivors include his sons, Jeff (Wendy) Kindle and Ken (Kelly) Kindle; grandchildren: Brent (Rebekah) Kindle, Acacia (Darrell) Vetor, Jill Kindle, Jaime (Dane) Bause, Ashley (Mike) Finney, and Cody Kindle, as well as Brianna, Karly, and Wes; and nine great-grandchildren. Furthermore, a brother Ray (Nancy) Kindle and a sister Kay Lingofelter both of Warsaw survive. A sister Mary Lou Steffe and brother Floyd Kindle preceded him. Private services will be conducted at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
