Paul E Shepherd, Sr.

Paul Shepherd Sr., 84, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Lutheran of Kosciusko.

Paul was born on November 3, 1939 in David, Kentucky the son of Ashland and Elizabeth (Shepherd) Shepherd. He married Marcia Schrock on July 28, 1989 in Warsaw and they would welcome 7 children.

He was a graduate of Prestonsburg High School and went to Mayo Tech College in Paintsville, Kentucky for welding.

Paul retired from Uniroyal as a Mold Maker Foreman but worked numerous jobs, and loved being a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and could “build the impossible” and fix anything, he even rebuilt the house three times; from the foundation up, remodeling, and from damage by lightning. He also enjoyed talking about politics.

He had a green thumb, especially with flowers, and loved tending to his garden. Paul adored his cats and dogs as well as raising goats, turkeys, rabbits…. You name it! He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in David, KY.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Marcia of Warsaw, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, daughter Melissa (Chandler) Chapman of Atwood, son Paul Shepherd Jr. of Columbia City, daughter Amy (David) Elliott of Warsaw, son Scott Conley (Melissa) of Florida, and a brother Bob (Sheryl) Shepherd of Prestonsburg, KY.

He was preceded in passing by parents, a grandson, 2 daughters, a son, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
