Paul D. 'Pete' Adams

Paul D. “Pete” Adams, 80 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 12:45 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in his residence. On February 6, 1935, he was born to Lawrence and Helen (Keplinger) Adams in Claypool, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Lora Mae Brooks on July 3, 1962 in Skokie, Illinois who preceded him in death on January 9, 2007. Pete attended school in Iowa, Illinois and in Claypool, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army from December 7, 1953 to December 3, 1955. He went on to work as a mechanic at the Ford Garage in Warsaw. He retired as a professional truck driver. His hobbies included golfing and fishing with his many friends both here and in Florida. For years, he was a daily customer at Breading’s Cigar Store and in more recent times, he enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends at the American Legion Post #49, Warsaw, occasionally stopping for his favorite donut at Wabash Donuts. Pete is survived by five sisters, Mary E. Smith, Pierceton; Lois Kline, Warsaw; Nancy (and spouse Bill) Patrick, Sidney; Kay Snyder, Claypool and Peg (and spouse Steve) Kimmerling, Warsaw along with many extended family members. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Adams, two infant brothers and a nephew, Rick Snyder. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126, Warsaw. There is no visitation hours planned. Memorial contributions may be given to the Children’s Hospital of donor’s choice. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw was entrusted with arrangements.
