Opal Plummer, age 92, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:06 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw assisted by Great Lakes Hospice. She was born June 23, 1925 to Wilburn and Katie Shepherd. She was a bank teller prior to attending college in elementary education. In 1945 she married Homer Salyer, who preceded her, and had seven children. In 1972 she was united in marriage to John Plummer, who preceded her, and they relocated to Arizona where she retired at the age of 67 from the State of Arizona. At 75 she became a certified massage therapist and practiced for a couple of years. She is survived by five daughters; Carol (Dan) Stebbins, Linda (Dick) Stannard, Jo Etta (Mick) Bowers, Peggy (companion Don King) Taylor. Rose (companion Charles Wendler) Kindle; two step-children Bob Plummer and Anita Bowers and families, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, she was preceded by her parents, nine siblings, one son, one daughter, one grandson and one great-granddaughter. A private service is scheduled for a later date.
