Oma Rose

October 5, 1938 — October 21, 2025

Claypool

Oma Rose, 87, formerly of Claypool, passed away peacefully at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Born on October 5, 1938 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she was one of five girls born to Bennie and Amie (Morrison) Meadows.

She would marry Ben Rose and share many years of love and laughs until his passing in 1999. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Claypool.

Oma enjoyed sewing and enjoyed collecting many items which then collected a lot of dust, a funny joke among those who knew her best. She was a very reserved person but was loved by all and enjoyed helping out everyone through her years.

She is survived by her sisters: Opal (Estill) Calhoun, Judie Seiffert, Edith (Paul) Burke and Ruby Jean Ousley as well as several nieces and nephews.

Oma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ben.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM next to her husband in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, with Larry Burkhart officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice.
