Norma B. Gilworth

Norma B. Gilworth, age 95, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Tuesday September 6, 2011 at 5:00 am in her residence. On April 24, 1916, she was born to Evan E. and Cassie (Bankert) Boles in Fowler, Indiana. Norma married Finley Gilworth on May 15, 1942 in Warsaw, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1982. Norma was the First Woman Clerk Treasurer, serving two terms from 1960 - 1967. She also worked for Lake City Bank, Warsaw for 16 years. She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Warsaw, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Norma is survived by a nephew; Michael (and spouse Linda) Miner of Warsaw and a niece; Ann (and spouse Paul) Gillman of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 3:00 pm at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Warsaw with The Reverend Corinne Hodges officiating. Visitation hours will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw at a later date.
