Nelia N. Davis

Nelia N. Davis, age 64, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:20 PM in the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne. She was born on May 1, 1954 to Francisco and Marita (Nery) DeGuzman. Nelia grew up in the Philippines, then after getting married she moved to Warsaw. She spent nine years in California which she thoroughly enjoyed; within the past couple of years she returned back home to Warsaw. She worked in the family business at Lake City Heat Treating and while she lived in California she worked as a care giver. She was a passionate missionary worker and cared deeply for people, especially those in her home country of the Philippines. Spreading God’s word was a true passion of Nelia. She was very proud that she was able to help establish Victory Light Christian Church in the Philippines, which is a sister church of the Victory Light Christian Church in Carson, CA. She is survived by her daughters; Marinel (Davis) Shepherd of Warsaw, Rachel Davis of Orlando, FL, mother; Marita DeGuzman of Daet, Philippines, Grandchild; Tanner Shephered, 6 siblings also survive in Daet, Philippines. She was preceded in death by 1 sibling and her father. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Interment will be private.
