Nancy Pitts

Nancy Pitts, age 87, of Sidney, Indiana passed away in Miller’s Merry Manor Warsaw, IN on November 26, 2012 at 2:30 PM. She was born to Willie and Annie (Strickland) Burchett in Lancer, KY. On September 10, 1925. She was a Sidney resident since 1953. She was united in marriage to Mexico Pitts in Prestonsburg, KY on August 7, 1944 who preceded her in 2003. She did not have children of her own but she raised her husband’s niece and grand-niece. In addition, she “took care” of many of the children in Sidney, IN as they were growing up. Five sisters Hazel, Edith, Thelma, Josephine and Edna Mae and a brother James Lee preceded her in death. Visitation hours are scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday November 28, 2012 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, IN.
