Nancy E. Barrett

Nancy E. Barrett, age 77, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 8:05 PM in Warsaw, Indiana.  She was born on September 28, 1942 to Richard and Roberta Evelyn (Elder) Denny.   Nancy lived all her life in the Kosciusko County area; Claypool, Silver Lake and Warsaw.  She graduated from Claypool High School.  She was united in marriage to Samuel J Barrett on October 28, 1960 in Packerton, IN. During her life she worked for Warsaw Community Schools in the Food Services Department for over 40 years.  She attended worship services at New Life Christian Church and Cook’s Chapel. She enjoyed her fellowship at the North Webster American Legion.  Her hobbies included crafting, garage sales and auctions, and more than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Survivors include; daughters; Gina (Larry) Putt of Buchanan, MI, Jody (Paul) Blue of Warsaw, grandchildren; Amber (David) McElroy of Warsaw, Jeremy Blue of Warsaw, Erinn Blue of Warsaw, Sarah Putt of Mishawaka, IN, Hannah Kristl of South Bend, Adam Kristl of South Bend, Peter Kristl of Norfolk, VA, great-grandchildren; Daniel McElroy, Scarlett Linn, Sammy McElroy, Hailynn Blue, Skylynn Blue, siblings; Sandra (Oliver) Nelson of Elkhart, IN, Jerry Denny of Claypool, and Peggy (David) Fitzpatrick of Claypool. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Samuel Barrett, sister; Beverly Denny and a granddaughter; Abigail McElroy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor John B. Lowe ll will officiate and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
