Myrtle Mae (Depree) Busscher, 94, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida formerly of Syracuse and Warsaw, Indiana passed on to be with the Lord on January 12, 2018. Myrtle was the widow of Jay Marvin Busscher, her loving husband of 60 years. She was wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and friend to many throughout her long life. In her retired years alongside her husband, she would travel during winter spending time with family and friends in Florida, Texas and Arizona. Myrtle and Jay also took great joy in summertime camping in Indiana with grandchildren and family. Myrtle was skilled in crochet and knitting: crafting items to give to family or donate to various causes at church including mission projects. While in Warsaw she took part in the Widow Women’s Group at Warsaw Community Church and volunteered folding bulletins. In 2011, Myrtle moved to Florida to reside at Elmcroft assisted living center where she was beloved by many of the very sweet staff and residents during her 6 years there. Myrtle was proceeded in death by her parents, Cornelius Depree and Helen (Timmer) Depree; sister, Arloa (Depree) Benton; brother, Lester Depree. She is survived by a brother Howard Depree of San Antonio, Texas and sister, Betty (Depree) Glass of Live Oak, Florida; two daughters, Yvonne (Busscher) Engelsman (Ronald) of Hamilton, Michigan and Janice (Busscher) Buhrt of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; Grandchildren: Rodney Engelsman, Vicky (Engelsman) Schippa (Rocky Sr.), Matthew Buhrt (Jennifer), Jenny (Buhrt) Nash, Rachel (Buhrt) Osbeck (Chris), Kathrine (Buhrt) Dwyer (Justin), Melissa Buhrt (Christopher Newton); Great grandchildren: Rocky Schippa II, Candice Schippa, Nathan Nash, Bailey Buhrt, Tiffany Schippa, Brenna Buhrt and Brayden Osbeck. Myrtle also leaves behind the staff and many friends of Elmcroft Assisted Living Center in Florida. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel located at 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, IN 46580. The family will receive visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Jamy Gregory. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. In lieu of flowers please send donations to North East Florida Community Hospice Foundation 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
