Myrtle L. York, 83, of Syracuse, Indiana, died on 4/26/2009 at 4:55 am at Millers Merry Manor, Syracuse, Indiana. She was born on October 26, 1925 in Henry County, Indiana. Myrtle was born to Cornelius and Inez (Hall) Mayberry. She lived most of her life in Wayne and Henry Counties. Myrtle retired from Dana Corp. in 1985. She loved music, reading, crocheting and most of all, her family.Myrtle is survived by 2 Daughters; Sherri (Bob) Weaver, Hagerstown, Indiana and Deanna (Rod) Turner, Warsaw, Indiana4 Grandchildren; Melissa Weaver and Kristina Dale, both of Hagerstown; Emmanuel Turner and Jessica (Eleazar) Villa both of Warsaw2 Great Grandsons; Jacob Dale of Hagerstown and Elijah Villa of Warsaw1 Brother; Gerald MayberryIn addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her former Husband, Lee A. York; a Sister, Gladys Neal; 2 Brothers, David Mayberry and Bob Mayberry and a Grandson; Kevin Turner. Services will be held at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, Indiana on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be after 11:30 am at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Burial will be at Brick Cemetery, Hagerstown, Indiana. Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown and McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
