Mildred M. Behnke, age 83, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:45 PM in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home Northeast, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born on June 9, 1936 in Warsaw, IN to Wilburn and Virginia (Randall) Morrison. On April 25, 1953 she was united in marriage to Paul Behnke Jr. in Milford, Indiana. During her life she worked for the City of Lake Station in local government as an Accounting Clerk; she also worked for Da-Lite Screen for 14 years. Mildred moved to Lake County in 1983 and then she moved back to Warsaw in 2008. She was the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #49. She is survived by her daughter; Deborah (Behnke) Ruch of Warsaw, son; Larry (Tammy) Behnke of Pierceton, grandchildren; Matthew and Nathaniel (Megan) Behnke, great-grandson; Alexander Matthew Lane, sisters; Marsha Wolford of Warsaw, Sue Bonner of Kendallville, IN, Alma Morrison of Warsaw brother; Charles Morrison of Leesburg, IN; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Paul Behnke Jr. on June 2, 1977, and a grandson; Daniel Paul Earl. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
