Mildred Jackson

Mildred ‘Midge’ Jackson, 91, of 630 E Main St., Atwood, passed away at 8:40 p.m. May 17, 2021, to be with her Heavenly Father at her home. Born June 23, 1929, in Floyd County, KY., to Norman and Alta Mullett Hall. On June 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Desmond Jackson, who preceded her in death March 8, 2007. Midge was the co-founder, with her husband, of 30 West Auto Sales. She also was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge for over 50 years. She was an avid lover of fashion, enjoyed dancing, spent many years line-dancing with the Moose Lodge, and, most of all, spending time with her friends and family. Midge was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She attended Warsaw Family Worship Center for the past nine years and was very active with events and contributing with her church family, where her presence will be greatly missed. Midge is survived by her two sons, Rick (and wife JoEllen) Jackson, Atwood, and Mike (and wife Nicole) Jackson, Warsaw; her daughter, Mrs. Randy (Tonya) Woodling, Atwood; seven granddaughters: Kristi (Justin) Hull, Warsaw; Holli (Shaun) Hollering, Greenfield; Britta (Edgar) Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson, and Breck Jackson, all of Warsaw; Skylar (Dillon) Nusbaum, Warsaw, and Presley Smith, Indianapolis; three grandsons: Nick (Jessica) Jackson, Atwood; Kegan (Samantha) Woodling, Warsaw; and Dylan Woodling, Atwood; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. A visitation is planned from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 on Monday, May 24, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel.  Pastor William Whitaker will be officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. *Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged.  No food is permitted at this time.
