Mildred “Millie” Evelyn Penn Ellison age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012, at 12:50 pm at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. On November 25th, 1922 Mildred was born to Charles and Mary (Emerick) Penn in Huntington County, IN. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County since 1950 residing in the Warsaw area. On February 16th, 1945 she married Richard Ellison in Huntington, IN whom survives. In 1941 Mildred graduated from Clear Creek High School in Huntington, IN. Mildred was a homemaker and owned a farm with her husband since 1950. Mildred was a member of the Monroe Happy Homemakers and the Farm Bureau. Mildred so enjoyed animals, Beanie Babies, bingo and bus trips. Mildred is survived by her husband Richard Ellison, Pierceton IN, four daughters, Mary Lou Cotton of Syracuse, IN; Dorothy Rutledge and companion Steve King of Claypool, IN.; Betty (and spouse Dan) Ormsby of Columbia City, IN.; Linda Lambert of Warsaw, IN.; along with two sons, James (and spouse Karen) Ellison of Warsaw, IN.; and Donald (and spouse Kelly) Ellison of rural Pierceton, IN. Mildred is also survived by seventeen Grandchildren, twenty one Great Grandchildren (with one Great Grandson on the way) and two Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lester Penn. Funeral services for Mildred will be held at Saturday June 30th, 2012 at 11:00am at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Pierceton. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, IN. Visitation will be on Friday June 29th, 2012 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Chapel in Pierceton. Pastor Dennis L. Bollenbacher will be officiating the service. Family has asked for memorials to be made out to the Law Dogs of Kosciusko County care of the McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Drive, Warsaw, IN, 46580, or to show an act of kindness, and adopt an animal in Mildred’s memory.
