Michelle Lee Blankenship, 43 of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 7:16 pm Sunday, January 4, 2015 in her residence. On March 29, 1971, she was born in LaPorte, Indiana to James E. and Mary L. (Lashure) White. Living most of her life in Westville, Michelle moved to Warsaw in 2000. She worked for various restaurants as a manager, most recently King Gyro’s Restaurant in South Bend, Indiana. She was a happy, loving person, who never met a stranger. Michelle is survived by two sons, Michael Anthony Lewis, Silver Lake and Travis James (and spouse Brittany) Lewis, Mentone; her parents, James E. and Mary L. White, Silver Lake; four sisters, Phyllis (and spouse Lawrence) Metcalf, LaPorte, Teresa Lambert, Silver Lake, Jessica (and spouse Danny) Thompson, Mentone and Barbara Miller, Tennessee; one brother, Wayne “Marty” (and spouse Julie) White, Mentone; three grandchildren, Connor Lewis, Nyla Lewis and Jackson Lewis; and her nephew, Ty Wayne Brown, Silver Lake. She is also survived by several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Edna White and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Audrey Lashure. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation hours will be from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michelle Blankenship Funeral Fund, C/o McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
