Michael Phend

Michael Eugene Phend, age 65, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 8:12 PM in his residence. Michael was born on December 6, 1954 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Robert and Marge (Johnson) Phend. He has been a resident in the Pierceton, IN area since 1971. He was united in marriage to Sharon Nettrouer on August 12, 1994, in Warsaw, Indiana. Michael was an employee for Dana Axel Corp, Syracuse, IN. Michael is survived by children, Julie Phend, of Roanoke, IN, Melanie Jo (Martaze) Scruggs, of Lavonia, GA, Jacob (fiancé Christina George) Phend, of Pierceton, IN; mother, Marge Phend of South Whitley, IN; sisters, Rebecca Phend and Rose Phend, both of South Whitley, IN; in addition, Michael is survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Phend on October 14, 2013, and his father. Visitation hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Private interment services will be held.
