Michael Lutes

Michael Lutes, 76, of Warsaw, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at his home.

Michael was born on July 22, 1947 in Warsaw, Indiana and was the son of John and Joan (Ruse) Lutes. He was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School, he then enlisted in the United Sates Army. While serving in the Army, he was a medic during the Vietnam War.

He would marry Carolyn Pifer on September 28, 1968 in Warsaw and welcome 3 children.

Michael worked as an Inventory Control Manager for Dow Chemical Company. He enjoyed taking photographs of his family, nature, and old cars. He also enjoyed going to antique car shows. Michael loved being a home body and working around the house.

Michael is survived by his wife Carolyn of Warsaw; their children Laura (David) Hale of Warsaw, Renee (Rob) Parker of Winona Lake, and Josh (Stephanie) of Holly Springs, North Carolina; grandchildren Samantha (Calvin Bender) Hale, Courtney Hale, Trenton Parker, Ella Lutes, Kiersten Parker, Lila Lutes, and Owen Lutes; and a brother Chris (Janet) Lutes.

He is preceded in passing by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 2, 2023 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon in the funeral chapel with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Military Honors.
