Michael C. Gibson

Michael C. Gibson, age 59, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away in his residence on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 10:20 pm. On February 17, 1952, Michael was born to James and Elsie (Poe) Gibson in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He married Kristie Blankenship on March 30, 1974 in Pierceton. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. Michael retired from Dana Corporation after 31 years of service and he was a member of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Merriam, Indiana. He enjoyed racing, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Kristie Gibson, Pierceton. 2 daughters, Kristine Gibson, North Webster and Elsa Gibson, Pierceton, 1 son, Michael J. Gibson, North Webster. 1 brother, Billy D. Gibson, Marion, Michigan; 2 sisters, Mary E. Owens, Albion and Rhoda Wright, Leesburg. 2 step brothers, Ronald Terry Hall, Pierceton and Donald Jerry Hall, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.Several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Darwin Gibson, John H. Gibson and Burl Gibson; 1 step brother, Charles M. Allen and a sister, Carlas V. Tomsic. Funeral services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 am with Pastor George Cecil officiating. Visitation hours will be from 1:00 - 6:00 pm, Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at a later date.
