Michael A. Mcclain

Michael A. McClain, age 72 of North Manchester, IN and formerly of Pierceton, IN passed away November 7, 2011 at 2:15 am in Peabody Retirement Center North Manchester. He was born June 13, 1939 in Fort Wayne, IN to Burl and Geraldine (McFarren0 McClain. Michael retired in 1976 after serving his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years. He was Technical Sergeant (E-6) and served as an Inventory Management Supervisor in the 549th Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He was a member of the Pierceton American Legion Post #258. Survivors include daughters Vicki Gorden of New Mexico and Sue Doughty of Germany; a son John McClain of Fort Wayne, IN and a longtime friend and guardian Pauline Wertenberger of Pierceton, IN. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Saturday November 12, 2011 at 9:00 am in Hillcrest Cemetery Pierceton, IN. Chaplain Jerry Hartman will officiate the service. The Pierceton American Legion Post #258 will render military honors. McHatton- Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton is charge of final arrangements. No visitation hours are planned.
