Merritt Hyndman, 73, of Leesburg, Indiana formerly of Pierceton, Indiana, died on 12/23/2009 at 4:51 PM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on September 18, 1936 in Pierceton, Indiana. Merritt is born to Leo and Bertha (Gilbert) Hyndman. He is a lifetime resident of Pierceton, Indiana.He married Stella R. Shepherd on June 1, 1956 in Columbia City, Indiana whom preceded him in death on April 2, 1998. He then married Joanne (Thurston) Snyder on October 10, 2008 in Warsaw, Indiana. Merritt retired after 40 plus years from Warsaw Chemical as a maintenance supervisor. He was also a former volunteer firefighter and Pierceton E.M.S for 47 years and former longtime Chief. He attended Dutchtown Brethren Church and he was a member of Pierceton-Washington Township Fire Department, Cruisin Hoosiers Car Club, Kosciusko County Fireman's Association. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jack Worth officiating.. Calling hours will be 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Monday, December 28, 2009. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana.
