Max L. Zorn, 81, peacefully passed away with his loving family at his bedside at 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 after recent health complications.
Born in Pierceton, Indiana on August 4, 1945, Max was the son of Aurlie and Georgia Zorn. He graduated from Pierceton High School.
He met a beautiful lady at The Post in Pierceton one night while playing pool, and the rest became history. Max married Karen L. Ritz in a small church in Angola, Indiana on July 24, 1982. They were blessed with 44 years of love, laughs and memories.
Max worked as a polisher for over 40 years, but lastly retired from Zimmer Biomet after working for them for over 20 years.
Max could have his grumpy days, but most were filled with ornery jokes and/or poking fun and being playful. He was a good man, and loved all animals.
He loved working with his hands and fixing things. Max was also skilled in wood carving and carpentry, making many things including a wooden rocking horse for his grandchildren. He was a homebody and was happy with his recliner, the tv and his spoiled dog, Zoey, on his lap. Max adored his grand and great-grandchildren and was beyond excited when he finally got a grandson after 8 granddaughters.
Max is truly missed by his wife, Karen, of Larwill; his children: Greg Zorn of Columbia City, Steven (Melinda) Zorn of Warsaw, Todd (Sara) Zorn of Muncie and Tiffany (Lee) Robinson of Columbia City; 7 grandchildren: Brooklyn, Mya, Harley, Jade, Abbey, Makayla and Kendall; and great-grandchildren, Teighan and Owen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ted, Pat, Gerry and Netta.
Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
