Max Workman, age 87, of Syracuse, IN passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 1:23 PM in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. He was born September 15, 1930 in Benton Township, Elkhart County, IN to Chester and Ruby Elenor (Moats) Workman. A lifetime Syracuse resident he was a graduate of Syracuse High School. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1953 as Private First Class during the Korean Conflict. He formerly operated a Bulk Fuel Truck for Standard Oil Company but had a passion for Farming operating 80 acres. In particular, he was very proud of his family. Survivors include a daughter Rita (spouse Mike) Lewis of Warsaw, a son Tony (partner Dave Kardok) Workman of Harper’s Ferry, W VA, grandchildren Michael (spouse Sarah) Lewis of Fishers, Elizabeth (companion Anthony Clark) Lewis of Indianapolis, Cary (spouse Alli) Lewis of Warsaw and three great-grandsons. Private family services will be conducted. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contribution may be directed to The Wounded warrior Project P. O.
