Max Menzie, age 64, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 1:23 PM in his residence. He was born December 23, 1950 in Warsaw, IN to Glen and Helen (Scoby) Menzie. He was a lifetime Kosciusko County, IN resident. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973 as a Specialist 4 in A Battery, 2nd Battalion, 39th Field Artillery. On November 7, 1970 he was united in marriage to Sandra Sue Barger. He was formerly employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation as an Equipment Operator and also employed by the Pastime of Pierceton, IN as a Bartender. He was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Post #258 of Pierceton where he served as Post Commander in 1992 and 1998. Survivors include his mother Helen “Jean” Krantz of Warsaw, IN; a daughter Tracy (spouse Hoss) Kennedy of Urbana, IN; a son Max M. Menzie, Jr of Mentone, IN and grandchildren Arie, Kade Kyra Kennedy and Tyler and Tiara Menzie. His father and brothers Rex Menzie and Rick Robinson preceded him. Visitation hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday June 1, 2015 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #253.
