Max Cripe

Max passed away March 2, 2023 at the age of 11 years old.

Max's mom asked the family to pick up lunch meat on their way home from an auction 11 years ago. Instead they brought her Max. As a puppy he loved chasing ice cubes across the kitchen with his sister Belle. As he grew up his interest changed to begging for eggs; boiled, scrambled or fried it didn't matter as long as he got a share of them. Given the chance to sneak off he'd always head over to Neighbor Joe's. He'd be bribed with a car ride to get him back home. He never heard "Max House" but he sure heard "Max Ride!" From the beginning he thought he was a lap dog and was carried around like a baby so he wouldn't be stepped on in the kitchen. Up until a couple months ago he was still a lap dog hopping up into mom's lap in the recliner. Every day when he was left alone he knew he'd get a treat. If mom didn't have to work he'd whine a bit to get her attention because he wanted his treats on time whether she was leaving or not. One of his favorite past times was hopping up on his picnic table and watching over the neighborhood; whether it was sunny or a foot of snow was on his table. Max will be greatly missed.
