Matilda J. Long

Matilda J. Long, age 95, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 6:25 p.m. in Paddock Springs Health Campus of Warsaw. Matilda was born on September 7, 1924 in Kosciusko Co, Indiana to Dana and Nora (Thomas) Fawley. She was married to Homer Long on February 15, 1941 in Swayzee, Indiana. She was a lifetime resident of Pierceton, IN. Matilda enjoyed being a homemaker and an avid gardener. Matilda is survived by one son, Tommy J. (Elaine) Long of Warsaw, IN; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Long; one son Teddy Long and one daughter Mary Ann Long. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with graveside services in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton at 12:30 PM Monday.
