Mary “Sue” Blanton

Mary “Sue” Blanton, age 74, of Claypool, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at 7:43 PM in her residence. Sue was born September 14, 1945 in Silver Lake, Indiana to William and Vicie (England) Hopkins. She was united in marriage to Gene Blanton on October 3, 1962 in Paintsville, Kentucky. Survivors include husband, Gene Blanton of Claypool, IN; children, Tammie (Jackie) Rich of Claypool, IN, Roger (Lesa) Blanton of Etna Green, IN, Danny Blanton of Warsaw, IN, Candi Kayler of Warsaw, IN, Ron (Carla) Blanton of Pierceton, IN. In addition, she is survived by sisters, Linda Bennett of Atwood, IN, and Betty (Hobert) Ratliff of Warsaw, IN; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, and son, Brandon L. Blanton in October 2019. A Private Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Public Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 12:30 PM in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana.
