Mary Shepherd
February 24, 1934 — September 10, 2023
BOURBON- Mary E. Shepherd, 89, passed away Sunday morning, September 10, 2023 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center- Mishawaka.
Mary was born to Elijah and Gracie (Carpenter) Lovely on February 24, 1934 in Breathitt County, Kentucky.
On August 4, 1967 she married Clarence C. Schuh.
Mary was a faithful member of New Vision Church. She was a fan of old-time gospel, and she loved to sing and play guitar. She cherished time with family and friends and loved to talk to everyone.
She is survived by her four children: Charlie (Betty) Parks of Barbourville, KY, Kathleen (Kenny) Chaplin of Syracuse, IN, Teddy (Angel Blevins) Schuh of Tippecanoe, IN, and Laura (Eric) Williams of Jacksboro, TN; sister Irene (Glen) Bender; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her companion Roger.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence; son Carl Parks; four sisters: Riva Lovely, Cleda-May Carris, Geneva Pitts, and Pauline Oswalt; and three brothers: Bill, Glen and Daniel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north of Bourbon on 331.
Memorial contributions can be made to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels to help the family cover expenses.
