Mary M. Trease

Mary Maxine Trease, 98, of Warsaw, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.  Born on November 25,1922, in Plymouth, Indiana, Mary was the daughter of Floyd and Hattie (Strole) Miller. She was united in marriage to Donald Trease October 5, 1947: who passed away August 31, 2012. Mary was a 1940 graduate of West Township High School in Marshall County. She graduated from South Bend St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1944.  She was a registered nurse. Mary was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church of Warsaw since 1965 and very active in their ministries.  She and her husband, Don, enjoyed delivering mobile meals for 15 years.  She was also a member of the Herscher Home Extension Club. Mary and Don enjoyed traveling together. Mary will be lovingly remembered by a son: Don Trease of Warsaw; a daughter: Marie (Mauri) Bordner of Columbia City;  a granddaughter: Maureen (Jeremy) Freeman of Columbia City; a grandson: Mason (Sonja) Bordner of Ft. Wayne; and six great grandchildren: Eden, Wyatt, Grant, Blake, Kenton, and Aubrey. She was preceded in passing by her parents and a sister Elizabeth Craige Luty. A Private graveside service will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Pastor Stacy Downing officiating. The family of Mary Trease has entrusted McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with care and final arrangements.
