Mary Lou Prater, 76 of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in her residence. She was born on October 15, 1936 in Decatur, Indiana to Herbert “Pete” and Cladie (Ramsey) Irwin. She has been a resident of Warsaw and Winona Lake for 34 years.On February 29, 2012 in Warsaw she married George Prater who survives. Mary Lou was a waitress for Humpty Dumpty, Digs and B-Macs in Warsaw. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Decatur and Moose Lodge, Warsaw. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, George Prater of Winona Lake; Sons Greg Everett (and companion Debora Hodapp) of Akeley Minnesota, Ken (and spouse Megan) Everett of Alabama and Eric Everett of Decatur; a daughter, Candy (and spouse Doug) Singleton of Decatur; one sister Betty (and spouse William) Crone of Decatur; Brothers Harold (and spouse Ilo) Irwin, Tim (and spouse Sally) Irwin and Ronald “Joe” (and spouse Debbie) Irwin all of Decatur. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is Kenneth Everett of Decatur, the father of her children. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Mary Lou enjoyed golfing, fishing, motorcycling, white water rafting and dancing. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Mchatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor William Whitaker (Warsaw Family Worship Center) officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.There will be no burial. Memorial contributions are to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810, Warsaw, IN 46581-1810
