Mary Elizabeth Graves

Mary Elizabeth “Mary Beth” Graves 78, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 in her home. Born on March 10, 1944, in Peoria, Illinois, Mary Beth was the daughter of Daniel A. and Mary E. (Mulvaney) Fetgatter. She was united in marriage to Edward Graves on November 26, 1966 in Elmwood Illinois. After graduating from High School, she continued her education at Western Illinois University obtaining her BSE degree in 1967. She formerly worked as a receptionist and was also a substitute teacher. Mary Beth loved her dogs and she enjoyed reading. She was known to be a ruthless scrabble and Jeopardy player. She was a Delta Zeta Sorority member as well as a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church – Warsaw where she sang in the choir. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ed Graves of Warsaw, daughter Shannon E. Giles; son, Eric V. Graves; grandchildren, Meredith S. Giles, Katlyn Giles (Carver) Melton and Taylor Graves; great grandson Ezra C. Melton; brother Walter (JoAnna) Fetgatter of Avon Lake, OH and sister-in-law Karen Fetgatter. She was preceded in passing by both parents and one brother Daniel A. (Karen) Fetgatter. Burial will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Elmwood, Illinois. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, Warsaw have been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
