Mary Bernhardt, 99, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died on 10/6/2010 at 6:00 am at Heritage Park Health Care Center, Fort Wayne, Ind. She was born on November 12, 1910 in Warsaw, Indiana. Mary was the daughter of Russell and Iva (Study) Shipley. She was a longtime resident of Warsaw. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warsaw and was a homemaker.She married Lorenz Bernhardt on September 23, 1933 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2000.Mary is survived by a Daughter; Sandra Gearhart, Fort WayneSon; Lorenz (and spouse Elka) Bernhardt Jr., Bonita Springs, Florida7 Grandchildren9 Great Grandchildren5 Great-Great GrandchildrenShe was also preceded in death by a Daughter, Grandson and 2 Brothers. Funeral service will be privately held and not open to the public. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
