Mary Ann Secrest

Mary Ann Secrest, age 60, of Claypool, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 1:40 p.m. in her residence. She was born on November 7,1958 to Carl and Edythe Mary (Didier) Sands in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was united in marriage on May 22, 1982 to Michael Secrest in Ft. Wayne, IN. Mary Ann was a resident of Claypool since 1990. She was a graduate of WCHS class of 1977. She attended IVY Tech with an A.A. degree as a Medical Assistant. She formerly owned and operated Wedding Traditions and was the co-owner of Advanced Roofing Products. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Mary Ann is survived by her husband; Michael Secrest, of Claypool, daughter; Anne Secrest of Claypool, sons; John Paul (Katie) Secrest of North Manchester, Thomas Secrest of Indianapolis, mother; Edythe M. Sands of Silver Lake,10 siblings; Carl R. (Lisa) Sands of Bremen, Michael (Sharon) Sands of South Whitley, John (Marsha) Sands of Silver Lake, David (Christine) Sands of Syracuse, Cheryl (John) Petrie of Arcola, Steven Sands of Silver Lake, Thomas (Melody) Sands of Indianapolis, Robert (Tammy) Sands of Valparaiso, Joseph (Penny) Sands of Silver Lake, and Daniel Sands of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Raymond on October 2, 2013. Visitation hours are scheduled from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM at the Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Norton officiating.
