Mary A. Long

Mary Alice Long, age 68, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away Saturday February 18, 2012 at 9:54 AM in Select Specialty Hospital Fort Wayne, IN. She was born March 24, 1943 to Delbert And Annabelle(Cartwright)Sievers in Warsaw, IN. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, IN. On September 2, 1962 she was united in marriage to Ted Eugene Long at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Warsaw. Ted preceded her in 1980. She was a 1961 Graduate of Pierceton High School. Mary Alice was formerly employed by Medtronics, The Viewpoint, 2517 Center and operated a Babysitting Service. She was a member of the Monroe-Washington Township (Pierceton) Fire Department Auxiliary, a former assistant leader for the Monroe Go-Getters 4H Club, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Survivors include daughters Markay Funnell of South Whitley, IN, Missy (spouse Herman) Buckler of Wabash, IN; son Trent (spouse Angie) Long of South Whitley, IN; sisters Janice (spouse Verlin) Stayer of Warsaw, IN, Connie Naish of Pierceton, IN; brother-in-law Tom (spouse Ellane) Long of Warsaw, IN;mother-in-law Matilda Long of Pierceton, IN; grandchildren Dakota Everette Eugene Funnell and Chyanne June Funnell both of Scottsville, KY, Alyson Kay Long and Aubrey Nicole Long both of South Whitley, IN and Corbin Tyler Buckler of Wabash, IN; nieces and nephews Monda (spouse Mark) Pherigo of Warsaw, IN, Chad Christoffel and Nathan (spouse Amy) of Pierceton, IN, Tracy (spouse Brent) Reinholt and Troy (spouse Bonnie) Long both of Warsaw, IN, Tad (spouse Kim Long of Ohio and several great-nieces and nephews. Her husband, parents, sister-in-law Mary Ann Long and father-in-law Homer Long, preceded her. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 23, 2012 at 10:00 am in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Pierceton, IN. Reverend Roy Blake will officiate. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday February 22, 2012 fromj 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery Pierceton, IN.
