Marvin D. Huffman, age 86, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Monday October 22, 2012 in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation at 1:00 PM. He was born April 13, 1926 in Bremen, IN to Cleo and Anna (Mason) Huffman. On December 1, 1948 in Benton, IN he was united in marriage to June Linn. He faithfully served his country during WWII in the United States Army in the 7th Cavalry from 1944 to 1945 and later with the 82nd Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron as a Gunner from 1945 to 1946 in the Asiatic Pacific Theater participating in the Leyte Gulf and Luzon Campaigns and the Army of Occupation in Japan. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and Sharpshooter Qualification. He was employed by Relax-O Manufacturing of Nappanee, IN for 25 years. He is survived by his wife June Huffman of Warsaw, IN; a daughter Carol Crowel of Warsaw, IN and a son Bart (spouse Marty) Huffman of Silver Lake, IN; a sister Viola Summy of Warsaw, IN; grandchildren Troy (spouse Lisa) Brown of Warsaw, IN, Todd Brown of Warsaw, IN, Kelly Huffman of Aurora, CO, Josh and Holly Huffman of Aurora, Co, and his extended family of 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. A brother, Charles, preceded him. Funeral services will be private. Chaplain Denny Bollenbacher will officiate the services. Interment will be in Stony Point Cemetery Etna Green, IN.
