Martha Mccord

Martha McCord, 78 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at 12:52 am on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Community North Hospital, Indianapolis. On April 27, 1934, she was born in Branden, Mississippi to Roy and Nettie (Fallin) Hatten. She resided in Warsaw and Muncie, before moving to Indianapolis 30 years ago. She was a Manager of a restaurant in Indianapolis. Martha is survived by two sons, Terry (and spouse Dee) Downhour, Indianapolis and Lawrence Downhour, Texas; three sisters, Margaret Ward, Warsaw, Betty Sult, Warsaw and Marie Coblentz, Warsaw; one brother, Alten Hatten, Washington State; two granddaughters, three grandsons and five great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Ruth Murphy, Kathleen Kirkendall and Karleen Fingerle. A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 11:30 – 1:30 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
