Martha M (Johnson) Burnau, age 94, passed away at 4:00 pm on November 27th, 2012 in her home. She was born on February 11th, 1918 in Union Township, Huntington County, Indiana to Flora (Weber) and David Roscoe Johnson. She married Donald T. Burnau in Markle IN. on January 11th, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 5th, 1993. Martha and Don farmed in Huntington and Whitley Counties before moving to Warsaw in 1961. She worked at Zimmer Inc for 16 years in the Soft Goods Department. Martha was active in retirement traveling, visiting her grandchildren, participating in several card games every week. Surviving are three sons; Donovan (spouse Martha Grubbs) of Dickson TN.; Gary (spouse Marthene Fullhart) of Warsaw, IN.; Jim (spouse Agnese LaRue) of Yuma, AZ.; and one daughter Teresa (spouse David Evans) of Alexandria, VA. Martha has six grandchildren, John Burnau, Spartanburg, SC.; Marianne Moschella (Spouse Vince) of Sarasota FL.; Liz Wall (spouse Chris) of Dickson TN.; Elizabeth Evans of Alexandria, VA.; Margaret Evans of Pittsford VT,; Madeline Evans of Burlington, VT.; and three great grandchildren, Feron, Braden and Nathan Wall. Also surviving is a sister in law, Mary Ellen Robinson Johnson of Warsaw, IN. Martha was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, brothers Paul Johnson of Huntington, IN.; David Boag Johnson of Warsaw, IN.; sisters Mary Louise Goble of St. Helen, MI.; Dorothy Tuggle of Larwill, IN.; and Lola Davis of Huntington, IN. Funeral services for Martha will be held on Saturday December 1st, 2012 at 10:00am at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be on Friday November 30th, 2012 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm. Pastors Bill Garner and Gary Boschain will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Family has asked for memorials to be made to the Kosciusko County Homecare and Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
