Marie Hollon, 74 of Claypool, Indiana passed away at 2:31 am Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana. On June 3, 1938, she was born in Rochester to Maynard “Hap” and Josephine (Hopkins) McCloughan. She married Corbitt “Corby” Hollon on August 20, 1971 in Akron. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2008. Living most of her life in the Kosciusko County area, Marie worked for Chamberlain's, South Whitley, Eaton's, North Manchester and then Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was also a member of Giliad Baptist Church. Marie loved her family, putting alot of her time into being with her family. She also loved her dog “Sparky”. She is survived by three children, Cheryl (and spouse Mark) Brunner, Warsaw, Billy Sroufe, Claypool and Steven Sroufe, Claypool; two step sons, James Hollon, Claypool and Eugene Hollon, Fort Wayne; one brother, Oscar (and spouse Betty) McCloughan, Akron; one sister, Charlotte (and spouse Elmon) Bays, Silver Lake; one step brother, Dave and spouse Carol) Bucher, Huntingtonand several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Overlander. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the funeral chapel. The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to the Marie Hollon Memorial Fund, C/o Cheryl Brunner.
