Marcia Prater

Marcia Prater, 60, of Pierceton, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Parkview Kosciusko Hospital.

Marcia was born on August 4, 1963, in Warsaw, Indiana, the daughter of Mark and Carol Ann (Hutchinson) Anderson. She was united in marriage to Denny Prater on April 18, 1981.

She was a graduate of Whitko High School.

She worked in production for Warsaw Coil and North Webster Heeters as a wirer. Marcia enjoyed playing BINGO, tending to her garden, and keeping the house in order. She often liked to camp and would work on the farm.

Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her husband Denny of Pierceton; sons Steven (Chrissy) Prater of Pierceton, Brandon (Kristi) Prater of Sidney, and Danny (Angie Trager) Prater of Pierceton; grandchildren Michael Prater, Wanda Meade, Blake Prater, Jennifer Prater, Billie Hollon, Zoe Prater, Camie Prater, Mason Perry, and Ally Williams; siblings Mark (Linda) Anderson of Punta Gorda, FL, Michael (Rhonda) Anderson of Sidney, Mitchell (Connie) Anderson of Bluffton, and Marvin (Brenda) Anderson of Sweetser.

She was preceded in passing by her parents.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Marcia’s life will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Lewis Wedstel Shepherd officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery.
