Mabel V. Ruch, 89, of Grace Village Retirement Center, Winona Lake, Indiana, died on 3/23/2009 at 8:40 AM at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Indiana.. She was born on March 20, 1920 in Warsaw, Indiana. Mabel was born to Fred and Trecie (Ross) Fancil and was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, Indiana. Mabel graduated from Warsaw High School. She married Fred L. Ruch on February 29, 1940 in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2007.Mabel was a housewife and worked for Penguin Point, Warsaw for a number of years and also worked as a secretary for Glen's Wrecker Service, Warsaw.Mabel helped organize Star Twirlers and set up square dances. She was also a member of Airstream Club and also held various offices in the club.She enjoyed sewing and could make anything knitting. She enjoyed making outfits for square dancing and round dancing. She enjoyed playing the piano so much that she had a piano at home and a piano in their camper. Mabel enjoyed boating. She only went fishing with Fred when she had to, on the Minnesota fishing trips with their son Larry and Diane. She did ski and really enjoyed boating and enjoyed traveling with their son Glen.Mabel could make the best cakes and cherry pies' around. She spent a lot of time helping her sons' with school work and athletics, when they were young. She also helped with the accounting and phone service for her son Glen, at Glen's Wrecker Service, Warsaw,Indiana.Mabel is survived by 2 Sons;Larry (Diane) Ruch, Rochester, IndianaGlen Ruch (Denise Ayers), Warsaw, Indiana1 Sister; Ignota Lemler, Blue Springs, Missouri1 Sister-In-Law; Audrey Fancil, Warsaw, Indiana4 Grandchildren; Rodney (Jodi) Ruch, Kokomo, Indiana and Great Grandchildren, Taylor and Colan RuchSteve (Carrie) Ruch, Mechanicsville, Virginia and Great Grandchildren, Ryndee and Dalton RuchDawn (Joe) Morrison, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Great Grandchildren, Frank, Jospehine and Charles MorrisonRobin (Derek Murphy) Davenport, Kokomo, Indiana and Great Grandchildren, Zoie Davenport and Wyatt MurphyMabel also was preceded in death by; 1 Grandson, Danny Earl; 4 Brothers, Donnie Fancil, Harrold Fancil, Morice Fancil and Robert Fancil. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Monday, March 30, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
