Mabel Barnhart

Mabel J. Barnhart, age 72, of Atwood, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 10:31 PM in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born May 11, 1946 in Paintsville, KY to Herschel and Edna (Blanton) Francis. A resident of Atwood since 1968, she was employed by Creighton Brothers and retired with 30 ½ years of service. She was united in marriage to Howard Barnhart on October 5, 1968 in Warsaw. Mabel is survived by her husband, Howard Barnhart of Atwood, a son Steve Barnhart of Warsaw, a daughter Diana Lynn Barnhart of Atwood, a brother Lacey Francis, Sr. of Laurel, MT, sisters Thelma Jewel (spouse Lester) Hall of Billings, MT and Nellie (spouse Bill) Wildman of Florida. In addition, four grandchildren survive. Visitation hours are scheduled from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at11:00 AM with Pastor Lester Hall officiating. Interment will be in Wooden Cemetery, Harrison Center, Etna Green.
