Lonnie E. Flory

February 4, 1936 — February 6, 2025

Lonnie E. Flory, 89, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025.

Lonnie was born in Warsaw, Indiana on February 4, 1936 to Lloyd and Bertha Mae (Wynn) “Nonnie” Fletcher. She graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1954. Shortly after high school she began working for Dytronics in Leesburg.

In Shelbyville, Tennessee in 1980, Lonnie married Larry Flory and the two would come back to Warsaw to raise their family.

Together, they co-owned Fletcher’s Grocery which later turned into Fletcher’s Bait and Bus. Lonnie loved playing old video games and machines that were set up in the store, and trying to keep the highest score. She also worked alongside Larry at Holiday Bowling Lanes. The couple enjoyed traveling all over the states for Larry’s National Bowling Championships. Lonnie was a bartender at the old Eagles, and was a supervisor for a cleaning company.

Lonnie and Larry loved dancing all through their years together, and she enjoyed her own time shopping for good deals. Lonnie was happy to stop all over town for good strawberry margaritas and/or a Kahlua and cream. At home, she liked watching Judge Judy and old westerns.

She is deeply missed by her husband of almost 45 years, Larry, and their children: Debbie (Rob) McDonald, Michael Flory and Angel Flory, all of Warsaw; 5 grandchildren: Greg (Lisa) Fouts, Scott (April) Fouts, Nichole (Juan) Flory, Jalah Goings and Chris McDonald; 4 great-grandchildren: Taylor (Caden) Roberts, Kevin (Haley) Fouts, Katie Fouts and Remi Bernal; and great-great-granddaughter, Cali Roberts; sister, Frances “Frankie” Lane of Warsaw and ex-husband and friend, Larry Sellers of Cicero, TX.

Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd “Bud” Fletcher Jr., and infant son, Steven Himes.

A Celebration of Lonnie’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10-12 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, Warsaw. Procession to the cemetery will follow at noon, with Lonnie being laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
