Lois C. Carter, 78, Warsaw, passed away at 10:55 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Howard Ritter and Mary Anna (Hrushka) Ritter and her youngest sibling Mary Esther Campbell. She is survived by her sister Agnes Marie Pope, her brother Howard John Ritter, her son Theodore Alan Carter and granddaughter Larabeth Gladys Ryan. She was born in Prairie City, Oregon on July 11, 1939. She was a 5th generation Oregonian dating back to 1852 on her father’s side. Her mother was born Mary Anna Hrushka and had emigrated from Austria prior to the breakout of WW1. She married to Omar Thomas Carter in 1960 and moved to Warsaw. She worked at Crownover Jewelry until 1979 when she moved back to Bend Oregon. She came back to Leesburg in 2005 to be close to her son and family. She Retired from Walmart in 2016 Lois was a very loving mother who always took the time participate in her son’s life and put others before herself. She loved all creatures big and small, especially cats. She enjoyed Jewelry, Gemstones, and rock collecting. No services will be held. He wishes are to be cremated and interred at Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend Oregon. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
