Lewis 'Dobie' Slone

Lewis “Dobie” Slone Jr., 75 of Warsaw, IN passed away Friday November 6, 2015 at 4:20 p.m. at Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne, IN.He was born on September 29, 1940 to Lewis Slone Sr. and Allie (Slone) Slone in Prestonsburg, Ky. He is a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He retired from RR Donnelley, Warsaw, IN. He loved eating his tomatoes, egg Custer pie and chicken and dumplings he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, joking and spending time with family and friends. Dobie is survived by his two brothers Bill (and spouse Lois) Slone and Lon (and spouse Edith) Slone both of Claypool, IN; one sister Janice (and spouse Carlos) Hall of Warsaw, IN;One special nephew, David Hall, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and a son Donald Ray Slone. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, IN. Pastor Terry Bradford will officiate the service. Visitation will be also Tuesday November 10, 2015 one hour prior to the service.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, IN.
