Lester Conley, age 76, went into the arms of his Savior on September 15, 2025, surrounded by family.
Lester was born to Robie and Myrtle Conley on July 31, 1949, in Oil Springs, Kentucky. On June 28, 1969, he married the love of his life Angel Lee Wright in Warsaw, Indiana. They shared 56 years together.
Lester worked 47 and a half years at Dalton Foundry in processing. After his retirement, he spent time doing the things he loved, golfing and fishing with friends, his sons, and his grandchildren. He worked part-time for his grandson at LC Lawn Services. He loved to joke around and make sure everyone had what they needed.
He celebrated his love for Jesus by attending the Silver Lake Bible Church.
Lester will be lovingly remembered by his family including his wife Angel, his three sons; Lester Conley Jr. (AKA Punkin) of Silver Lake, William “Bill”(Tammy) Conley of Claypool, and John (Tonya) Conley of Silver Lake, his grandchildren; Jessica (AJ), Bryce (Alex), Josh (Shianne), Hanna, Seth (Ashley), Lucas, Landon, Kaydence, Oliver, four great-grandchildren; Claira, Iyla, Quinn, and Sawyer, his siblings; Bernice (Jeff) Miller, Edith (Ken) Damer, Sara (Dick) Burke, Robin (Patty) Conley, Gary Conley, and Darrell Conley, his uncle Paul Blanton, aunt Nervie Jean, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his father and mother, stepmother Betty Conley, brothers; Roger and Paul Conley, and a sister; Easter Conley, and many loved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family would like to share their gratitude to Goshen Cancer Center and the ICU team who so lovingly care for him in his final moments.
Calling will be Friday September 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana. Services will be held on Saturday September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, W Myrtle Glen Drive, Silver Lake, Indiana 46982.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Riley Children’s Foundation 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204-3509 and the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707-3392.
