Leaurel was born November 23, 1948, in Warsaw, Indiana, to the late John Tolliver
Camden and the late Mary Lucille Burton Camden. She was also preceded in death by
her sons, Jasen Michael Lube and Lance Eric Stath, as well as her brother, Richard Julian
Camden.
Leaurel grew up in Pierceton, Indiana, graduating from Pierceton High School where she
enjoyed being a drummer in the school band. She excelled in home economics, sewing
her own clothes and becoming an exceptional cook, skills she continued to develop as a
Home Economics major at Purdue University.
She married Bruce Michael Lube in 1976, and together they began their life in Waco,
Texas before settling in Concord, North Carolina, where Bruce still resides in their family
home.
A woman of many talents and tireless energy, Leaurel was a skilled seamstress and
upholsterer, running her own business with pride. Her love of animals was lifelong,
beginning with her dog Ikey and horse Sugar, and extending to a wide variety of pets
including chickens. She was an avid gardener, particularly passionate about growing and
collecting heirloom tomato seeds, and her culinary talents were legendary, especially at
her real estate open houses, which were always the best attended in the area.
Leaurel became a Realtor in Concord, earning multiple certifications including Certified
Residential Specialist (CRS). She was known not only for her professionalism but for the
warmth and hospitality she brought to every interaction. Her friendships were deep and
enduring; she maintained close ties with loved ones across the country, often traveling
simply to spend time with them. She enjoyed playing cards, hosting potluck football
gatherings, and attending the annual Heirloom Tomato Festival in Pierceton, where her
presence will be deeply missed.
The family also received friends from 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025,
at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A funeral service was held in the chapel at 4:30
pm, officiated by Heather Littrell.

and son-in-law Zach Harrison; grandchildren Adelynn, Jonah, and Anistynn Harrison of
