Larry Zimmerman

Larry J. Zimmerman, 78 of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 4:30 am on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in his residence. On March 8, 1939, he was born in Rochester, Indiana to William R. and Etta Mae (Sarber) Zimmerman. He was united in marriage to Virginia L. Milam on January 16, 1960 in Walkerton, Indiana, who preceded him in death on November 1, 2006. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1957 and also worked as a quilter operator for Ascot, Nappanee, Indiana. Larry is survived by his son, Edson Zimmerman, Orlando, Florida; two daughters, Deborah Sue (Arthur) Clark, Warsaw and Katrine L. (Jerry) Tuggle, Elkhart; two brothers, John Zimmerman, Goshen, James Zimmerman, Bourbon; two sisters, Linda Krandenburg, Grovertown and Scheryl Zimmerman, Goshen; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren He was also preceded in death by one daughter and one son. Services will be held in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Timothy Duffy officiating on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm with visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine with Military Honors by Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
