Larry D. Honeycutt, 68, passed away with family by his bedside at 6:27 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Martin, Kentucky on July 13, 1957, Larry was the son of Dallas and Fannie “Rose” (Tackett) Honeycutt.
On August 9, 1996 in Warsaw, Larry took as his wife, Debbie Eppenbaugh. They treasured the 29 years they got to share love, laughs, memories and a strong faith. These two love birds had met at one of Larry’s shows when he was the lead guitarist and singer for the Wild Country Band. Larry traveled with this band locally and throughout Northern Indiana for over 40 years.
Larry was stubborn, no doubt about that. But he had a heart that was bigger than himself. He always found the good in everyone until you proved him wrong. He taught his family to always stand up for yourself and never let people walk over you, but make sure you give them a fair chance first.
He worked in the fiberglass industry and maintenance. Larry was also into wheeling & dealing of antiques, cars and good bargains. He spent a lot of time fishing and in the past few years, playing with his granddaughter, Scooter, and her Barbies. The family played cards and dice, took yearly trips down to Mississippi to see family, and went to Indiana Beach during the summers. Larry loved smashing into his granddaughter, Pookie, over and over again while riding the bumper cars and sharing laughs. He loved his three daughters with all his heart and it got even bigger with the addition of two granddaughters.
Larry is deeply missed by his wife, Debbie, and their daughters: Rachel (Chris) Turney of Columbia City, Heather (Joe) Holloway of Warsaw and Elizabeth Honeycutt of Warsaw; his granddaughters, Brooklyn “Pookie” Holloway and Khloe “Scooter” Honeycutt; his brother, Dallas Honeycutt of Silver Lake; his mother-in-law, Beverly Eppenbaugh of Warsaw; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Rosemary, Darrell and Barb.
